Detroit Lakes woman officially charged in husband’s death in Africa – KVLY

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (Valley News Live) – The wife of a Detroit Lakes missionary has officially been charged in the death of her husband.
Beau Shroyer was killed in a violent, criminal attack in Angola, Africa on Friday, October 25, 2024.
According to a statement from Troy Easton, Lead Pastor at Lakes Area Vineyard Church, Jackie Shroyer was formally charged as a co-author in the murder of Beau.
Back in November of 2024, police in Lubango, Angola, alleged it was a murder-for-hire plot ordered by Jackie. Police said that one of the suspects was a guard through a private security company who was later hired by the couple.
According to police sources, the missionary’s wife had asked the guard to kill her husband. He hired two men and promised to pay them.
According to Easton a court date has not been set but will most likely occur within the next six months. Beau’s and Jackie’s children are being cared for by close family with support from both SIM and Lakes Area Vineyard Church.
