Latest bracketology is positive news for Virginia Tech women after two losses – Fighting Gobbler

Two losses in the last five days have not hurt the Hokies NCAA Tournament chances, for now, according to ESPN.
Two losses in the last week for the Virginia Tech women’s basketball and according to ESPN women’s bracketology, it didn't affect their NCAA Tournament chances according to Charlie Creme.
Moved to the Last  Four In last week by Creme, the Hokies remained in the same spot in his latest projections released on Friday. Virginia Tech remained in the same spot as they were a week ago in the Last Four In. Right now joining the Hokies in that category are Iowa, Washington, and Iowa State.
As far as Virginia Tech goes, they suffered losses to two conference teams comfortably in Creme’s field, North Carolina State and Notre Dame. The Irish, which struggled at times against the Hokies on Thursday night at Cassell Coliseum, are Creme’s overall No. 3 seed. NC State, which made a run to the Final Four last April, is capable of making another run this March and neither loss for Megan Duffy’s team is a loss that affects their resume.
If there is one thing that Virginia Tech has avoided this season, it’s a “bad loss.’’ Sure, you could throw Virginia in there, but the Hokies will get another crack at the Cavaliers next month in Charlottesville. Their upcoming stretch of home games against SMU and Syracuse would likely fall into the “bad loss” category.
February has more opportunities for Virginia Tech to improve their resume with games against North Carolina and California. The Hokies were the first team this season to knock off Georgia Tech and then picked up a nice home victory over Louisville.
If the Hokies take care of the business they are supposed to the rest of the season, they are going to be hard to keep out of the NCAA Tournament field. If they can beat North Carolina or Cal at home, then they take of business the rest of the way, it’ll be hard to leave them out of the field.
