Solon Springs artists dive into texture and technology – Superior Telegram

SOLON SPRINGS — Students in Solon Springs used found objects and technology to create pieces of art.
High school students in 3-D class are taking a deeper look into using found objects studying the work of Jenny Wu, Marcel Duchamp and Robert Rauschenberg.

In eighth grade exploratory art, students are learning about the art work of Louise Nevelson. Students were tasked with using found objects from the art room and at home to create art inspired by work. The objective of this lesson is to have students use shape, form, overlapping and repetition in their art and use spray paint to make them monochromatic.
Colin Wiita is the Solon Springs High School art educator.
