Jiansong Zhang, an assistant professor in Purdue Polytechnic’s School of Construction Management Technology, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Daniel W. Halpin Award for Scholarship in Construction by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Established in 2011, the award honors individuals whose research has made significant contributions to advancing construction engineering as a science. Named after Daniel W. Halpin, a distinguished scholar recognized for pioneering simulation methods in construction process analysis, the award is one of the highest honors in the field.
Zhang’s research focuses on methods and technologies that support construction engineering and management, automation, and the sustainability and resilience of the built environment.
Administered by ASCE’s Construction Institute through its Honors and Awards Program, the Halpin Award recognizes scholars whose work influences both academia and industry.
