San Juan, Puerto Rico, February 11, 2025 – Liberty announced today that it received an official proclamation from the Government of Puerto Rico declaring today, Tuesday, February 11, 2025, as “Safer Internet Day” and making it an official celebration on the island. The proclamation was issued to help extend internet safety awareness efforts to all sectors of Puerto Rican society. It is also part of Liberty’s efforts to educate citizens on this topic, which the company has been committed to since 2008.
Liberty is also establishing a partnership with the Internet Society’s Puerto Rico chapter (ISOCPR) to develop cybersecurity educational programs and initiatives for different population sectors in Puerto Rico, particularly young people.
