29 Sep 2015 – 30 Sep 2015
The 27th meeting of the Council Working Group on WSIS: Implementation of Outcomes will be held 29-30 September 2015 at ITU Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland.
Documents that will be produced during this meeting will be posted at:https://www.itu.int/md/S15-WSIS27-C/e
Important Note: Should Zero Draft Paper of the UNGA Overall Review of the Implementation of WSIS be made available later than 28 September, a special meeting of CWG-WSIS will be held on 5 October (PM) to provide a platform for ITU Membership to discuss the document.
The WG-WSIS was created in 2002 (see Resolution 1196). In November 2006, PP 06 endorsed the relevant work already undertaken and/or to be carried out by ITU in implementing the WSIS outcomes, under the aegis of the Council Working Group on WSIS (WG-WSIS), requesting the Council to maintain the WG-WSIS in order to facilitate membership input and guidance on the ITU implementation of relevant WSIS outcomes and to elaborate proposals to the Council that may be necessary for adapting ITU to its role in building the information society.
