Best IoT conferences and events to attend in 2025 – TechTarget

The internet of things, more commonly referred to as IoT, is a foundational element of modern IT and computing infrastructure.
With IoT, the internet extends beyond just connecting servers and computers; it connects a diverse universe of devices. IoT devices are a technology domain that encompasses consumer, industrial and embedded devices. These devices include any type of embedded sensor across many industries, including automotive, robotics and healthcare. Any “thing” that has some form of network connectivity, an IP address and public internet connection is an IoT technology.
IoT deployments continue to grow as businesses engage in digital transformation initiatives. IoT devices generate large amounts of data that companies use to get a better view of operations and support business decisions. But IoT devices also introduce potential risks in the form of supply chain and cybersecurity risks.
AI is among the key emerging IoT trends in 2025. IoT devices can play a key role in providing data for AI models and serving as edge computing devices for AI inference. IoT data is also increasingly used to help inform digital twin technologies.
IoT blogs are one way to stay up to date on news and trends in the global IoT industry. Other popular approaches include enrolling in online skills courses and attending IoT industry conferences and events.
