The new Web of Science™ Community Forum empowers library professionals worldwide to help shape the Web of Science vision and network with peers.
To provide solutions institutions and users can trust, we always seek new ways to increase our collaboration with the research community and build more transparency into our product development. To that end, we are announcing the formation of the Web of Science Community Forum, a new initiative designed to empower our customers to help guide the evolution of Web of Science, foster knowledge sharing and enhance networking. The Community Forum will bring together library professionals from academic and non-academic institutions, providing a platform for collaboration and community-driven product development.
Community collaboration has been central to key Web of Science developments, including the recent Web of Science Research Assistant launch. We set out to implement AI in an impactful, responsible way. As a first step, we established the Development Partner program, a group of librarian and researcher beta testers that guide our development efforts. Community input continues to shape not just the Web of Science, but all academic AI initiatives at Clarivate™.
The new Community Forum expands on this successful collaboration and allows a larger group of customers to play an active role in shaping the future of the Web of Science.
The Community Forum will serve as a hub where members can actively influence our product roadmap, connect with Web of Science product experts, learn from peers and collaborate on shared initiatives.  Activities will primarily take place through online meetings, web forums, and other virtual channels, with the potential for future on-site events to enhance collaboration.
Web of Science Community Forum members will benefit from:
Join us on our continuing journey to evolve the Web of Science and innovate to improve research. The Community Forum is open to librarians at all institutions that subscribe to Web of Science.
Join the Web of Science Community Forum.
As part of our commitment to collaboration, we have recently formed the Web of Science Product Working Group, building on the success of our Development Partner program. The Product Working Group is a dedicated group of members who work closely with the Web of Science product team to provide detailed input and guidance.
The group comprises members from diverse institutions and regions, ensuring that they represent the wider Web of Science community and that discussions consider a broad range of perspectives. We would like to extend our thanks to all Product Working Group members for their involvement and expertise, which are instrumental in driving the future of Web of Science.
The Community Forum and the Product Working Group are complementary, together forming an ecosystem of collaboration. The Community Forum invites a broad and varied group of users to engage and share insights, while the Product Working Group provides more focused, hands-on guidance. Over time, insights from the Community Forum will inform and inspire the work of the Product Working Group, fostering a cycle of collaboration that benefits all Web of Science users.
Register today to be part of the Web of Science Community Forum and contribute to the future of research.
