
Beijing to help train military personnel and police officers

BEIJING — China has signaled support for African efforts to strengthen security through Foreign Minister Wang Yi's latest tour of the continent as attacks by militant groups threaten economic development.
This marks the 35th consecutive year that China's foreign minister visits Africa at the start of the year. Wang's trip began Sunday and included stops in Namibia, the Republic of Congo, Chad and Nigeria.
