According to the company, the Blockchain-Based Registrar System utilizes smart contracts on the Ethereum network to facilitate domain registration and management functions in compliance with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) accreditation standards. This system ensures full feature parity with traditional web2 registrars, enabling the registration of new domain names and the transfer and renewal of existing ones.

It involves an off-chain registration process with an accredited domain registrar recognized by ICANN, followed by an on-chain registration process with a domain registrar blockchain. It verifies that the domain name is stored in the domain registrar blockchain, generates a blockchain query, and sends it to the domain registrar blockchain. The domain registrar blockchain, which stores domain name registration data in smart contracts, provides a nameserver identifier, enabling the retrieval of the DNS record associated with the domain name. Finally, the system furnishes the retrieved DNS record to the client device, facilitating seamless access to the webpage.
