Pfutsero Govt College organizes Colloquium Series – Nagaland Page

Dimapur, April 5: Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Research Committee of Pfutsero Government College started off its One-Day Colloquium Series on April 3 with a Lecture on Mixed-Methodologies: Paradigms for Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation delivered by Dr. A Wati Walling, Department of Science and Humanities, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagaland, Chumukedima.
Dr. Walling highlighted the prevalence of Eurocentric Paradigms in the global South with reference to Ngugi Wa Thiong’o’s concept of Decolonizing the Mind and stressed upon the need for indigenous concepts and theories within the Naga academia to interpret phenomena in Nagaland.
In the second part of his lecture, Dr. Walling presented a thorough deliberation on Mixed- Methodologies with special emphasis on Quantitative, Qualitative and Mixed Methods Research. The lecture was followed by a lively interactive session.
Earlier, in her keynote address, Dr. Tialila, Principal, Pfutsero Government College mentioned that this One-Day Colloquium Series has been initiated as an effort to build an intellectual community within and beyond the curriculum to encourage research culture and innovation among the teachers and students.
The session was chaired by Dr. Thungdemo N Yanthan, IQAC Co-ordinator, while vote of thanks was pronounced by Dr. Meyetsolo Ritse, Co-ordinator Research Committee.
