The much awaited poster of #DNS, featuring Dhanush, was unveiled on Friday. The project, touted to be a cinematic spectacle, brings together Dhanush and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles. The film’s official title, Kubera, was also announced today.
Kubera is the name of the richest Hindu god, who is also the king of Yakshas. Dhanush seems to be playing the titular role in the film. In contrast to his name, the actor looks like a beggar in the first look, and the irony seems to be the whole point of the movie’s nomenclature.
Here’s the first-look:
Kubera was earlier called #DNS, which is an acronym for Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Sekhar Kammula. Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao in association with Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd, the project was launched with a grand pooja Ceremony on January 18.
Sekhar Kammula, renowned for delivering back-to-back entertainers such as Fidaa and Love Story, is all set to mesmerize audiences with his next directorial venture. The film is pitched as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. Dhanush has been trying to make his in roads into the Telugu market. He previously made Vaathi as Sir in Telugu, which failed miserably. Kubera might change that.
Lakshya Sen, known for his fast-paced and flashy style of playing, suffered a defeat against the world champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the French Open semifinals. Despite showing grit and determination, Sen’s impatience and wild hitting led to his downfall. He needs to work on staying calm and composed, rather than constantly trying to maintain a high speed, writes Shivani Naik.
