The French company Kinéis is set to launch the first of five small satellite launches dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT) between June 10 and July 9, 2024.
This marks a significant milestone in the development of the Kinéis system, which aims to provide global connectivity and real-time data transmission for IoT applications.
The company’s constellation of 25 nanosatellites will address various challenges such as agriculture, water resource management, and early detection of forest fires. Kinéis also organized a nationwide drawing competition to raise awareness about satellites and their role in protecting the environment, with the winning drawings engraved on the smallsats.
Additionally, the company is collaborating with the Cité de l’espace to educate and inspire young people about space and technology.
