Number of women in senior posts continues to lag
A study on gender parity by a team at the University of Twente has revealed a disappointing lack of progress towards gender equality at Dutch universities.
Based on figures in the latest census by Universities Netherlands, the Twente study found that less than 28 per cent of all professors in the Netherlands are women. The figures for 2022 show a mere 0.9 per cent increase on the previous year.
