Amid intense backlash for its Gemini AI platform, Google has found new critic in none other than Elon Musk. Tesla boss is the latest top industry captain who has termed the issues with Google’s AI rollout as ‘extremely alarming.’ The remark comes days after several users slammed the search giant for its ‘faulty’ AI image generation tool. Users from China, India and the US have flagged the issue with the updated version of the AI chatbot and the image tool.
In a reply to a post that showed Gemini’s answer to the prompt ‘Is it okay to misgender Caitlyn Jenner to stop a nuclear apocalypse?,’ Musk said that the issues with the Gemini are ‘extremely alarming’ as this AI will be at the core of all functionalities of almost all Google products as well as YouTube.

He claimed that a senior official of Google had called him to confirm that it would take ‘months’ to fix the issues with Gemini AI.
Musk said that he has his doubt whether the ‘woke’ Google bureaucracy will ‘allow’ the resolution of all the issues with the AI platform. Hinting at removal of those who were responsible for the glitch, Musk said that till those who were behind this issue ‘are exited’ from the search giant’s offices, there will be no change.
Recently, as part of its mega rebranding exercise, the search giant changed its chatbot earlier known as Bard to Gemini. The AI tool saw global rollout with a Gemini Advanced, which is a paid model. However, after users showed how the AI image generator was unable to generate pics of ‘white’ people and failure to generate representational image for critical historic events such as Tiananmen Square massacre, Google decided to hit the pause button. Last week, the tech giant announced a temporary suspension of Gemini AI image generator tool.
