Oppo thinnest foldable phone N5 launched along with Watch X2 | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement
Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched its new foldable smartphone Oppo N5 in global markets. The Oppo N5 is being claimed as the thinnest foldable smartphone measuring 8.93mm when closed and weighs around 229 gram.
Along with the N5 foldable smartphone, Oppo also unveiled Watch X2 with ECG, blood oxygen tracking, and a 60-second health checkup like heart rate, blood oxygen, and wrist temperature. The data can be viewed on phone with the OHealth app.
Oppo Watch X2 has a 1.5-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 2,200 nits. It is protected by the Sapphire Crystal Glass.
The Oppo Watch X2 claims up to 5 days of use in Smart Mode and 16 days in Power Saver Mode.

Oppo Watch X2 runs Wear OS by Google and RTOS systems. It uses Snapdragon W5 and BES2800BP MCU chips.
The Watch X2 is MIL-STD-810H-certified and IP68 and 5ATM water resistance. It comes in Lava Black with a fluorine rubber band for fitness enthusiasts, and Summit Blue with a leather band.
Meanwhile, the foldable Oppo N5 features a 6.62 inch FHD+ cover screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,450 nits of peak brightness. The inner screen is of 8.12 inch with similar refresh rate but 2,100 nits of peak brightness.
Oppo has used Snapdragon 8 Elite in the N5 with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. It ships with a 5,600 mAh battery supported by an 80 W charger and supports 50 W wireless charging.
The N5 sports Hasselblad-tuned 50 MP main camera along with a 50 MP telephoto lens and an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. It has two 8 MP lenses on cover and inner screens.
These devices were announced in Singapore and their India arrival or pricing is not certain yet. Features might also vary when they come down here.
It is important to note that Oppo has not launched a foldable smartphone in India but does have flip phones.
