Stellantis Expands AI Partnership with Mistral to Revolutionize Auto Manufacturing
Stellantis, the automaker behind Fiat and Chrysler, is intensifying its use of artificial intelligence (AI) in vehicle production by expanding its strategic partnership with French tech company Mistral. This move underscores the ongoing transformation in the automotive industry driven by AI.
Stellantis, the world’s fourth-largest carmaker, has been quick to leverage AI in its operations. Over the last year, the company has collaborated with Mistral AI on several projects that span across vehicle engineering, fleet data analysis, internal car sales, and manufacturing.
One of the most notable projects arising from this partnership is the next-generation AI-powered in-car assistant. This innovation will enable drivers to engage in natural, conversational interactions with their vehicles.
The announcement of the expanded AI partnership had a positive impact on Stellantis’ stock price. STLA shares rose by 1.39% in pre-market trading. Despite the boost, the stock has been down 16% over the last six months due to challenges, including the unexpected departure of CEO Carlos Tavares in December and concerns over the potential impacts of a trade war.
