What Will Be On the Agenda of Wang Yi’s Four-Nation Africa Tour? – The China-Global South Project

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi made a brief stopover in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo on Sunday en route to Namibia, where he will begin a four-nation, week-long Africa tour. Wang’s visit to the continent marks the 35th consecutive year that a Chinese Foreign Minister makes Africa the first overseas trip of the new year.
After Namibia, Wang will also visit the Republic of the Congo and then, later in the week, head to West Africa for stops in Chad and Nigeria before returning to Beijing on Saturday.
