Kenya: Gunfire and tear gas in Nairobi over new tax laws – BBC.com

Police and demonstrators have clashed in Nairobi over government plans to raise taxes.
Part of the Kenyan parliament was set on fire after protesters opposed to the new laws breached the complex where the building sits.
Gunshots and the firing of tear gas has been heard throughout the day.
The Kenya Medical Association says at least five people have been shot dead.
